The PCC Grant Schemes aim to fund projects that will deliver “A safer, more secure Warwickshire”.
During 2020-21 the PCC is inviting organisations to bid for funding against one of the grant funds as detailed below.
Organisations are able to submit multiple bids to any of the schemes. Each application will be evaluated separately.
Projects funded by the PCC’s office under the grants schemes run for 12 months or less during the course of the financial year.

Available funding streams
Small Grants Fund
Estimated maximum grant fund available: £50,000
Maximum grant bid per project: £10,000
The PCC invites applications for any project that aims to address one or more of the Police and Crime Plan’s priorities. The PCC would also be interested to view applications that specifically aim to address knife-crime. All applications should be for one-off funding for a specific project.
The PCC encourages collaborative approaches to applications and encourages organisations to identify how they support and work with their local Community Safety Partnership (CSP).
Road Safety Fund
Estimated maximum grant fund available: £500,000
Maximum grant bid per project: No maximum (applicants are advised to view previous awards made for guidance)
The PCC invites applications for projects that aim to address Road Safety problems in Warwickshire, and which may also have outcomes aligned to the Police and Crime Plan priorities. All applications should be for one-off funding for a specific project. Projects may be focused on prevention, engagement, education and/or enforcement.
Funding from the PCC Road Safety award will not be granted to cover costs of roads engineering or roadside furniture.
Examples of possible road safety projects are those which may:
- Improve road safety in order to reduce accidents and casualty figures in the Warwickshire area
- Improve education and training for children, young people, learners, inexperienced and older drivers
- Support local communities in becoming safer and better places to live
- Reduce the economic and personal costs of fatalities and serious injuries
- Improve driving skills
- Improve awareness and educate drivers about non-vehicle road users, including horse riders and cyclists.
Though there is no maximum bid, applicants are advised that this fund is countywide and the requested amount should reflect the project’s geographic reach and number of service users set to benefit.
Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Programme Fund
Estimated maximum grant fund available: £68, 000
Maximum grant bid per project: No maximum
As well as providing services and support for victims of domestic abuse, it is also vital to provide services for perpetrators. The PCC invites applications for a Countywide Domestic Abuse Perpetrator intervention that offers an integrated partners support element also. The PCC requires that any Warwickshire perpetrator can be referred by a key stakeholder to the intervention and will be assessed for their suitability. The provider of services must be accredited or demonstrably working towards full accreditation and working within the Respect standards. The service must be able to engage fully with the MARAC process in Warwickshire and be willing to sign up to the Warwickshire Information Sharing Protocols. The PCC encourages service providers to collaborate and share best practice to maximise the front line delivery of each programme

Domestic Abuse Victims’ Programme Fund
Estimated maximum grant fund available: £25, 000
Maximum grant bid per project: No maximum
The PCC invites applications which provide a Therapeutic Counselling Service across Warwickshire for victims of domestic abuse regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation. The service provider must be able to deliver services regardless of the risk level of the victim and from local venues to ensure ease of access for victims.

Reducing Reoffending Fund
Estimated maximum grant fund available: £15, 000
Maximum grant bid: £15,000
The PCC invites applications for a countywide project that directly addresses the reducing reoffending agenda in Warwickshire. The successful provider will need to evidence how the project will contribute to reducing reoffending and how that reduction will be measured.
The PCC encourages service providers to collaborate and share best practice to maximise the front line delivery. The PCC encourages organisations to identify how they will support and work with the Warwickshire Reducing Reoffending Board.

Please note the Commissioner’s Grants Fund for 2020/21 has now closed to new applications. Details of projects which will be funded will be announced in the summer.
