Statement from PCC following incident in Manchester

May 23, 2017

Following the incident last night at the Manchester Arena, Warwickshire Police and Crime Commissioner Philip Seccombe said: “The thoughts and prayers of everyone at the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner are with those who were injured in last night’s incident and with the families of those who were killed.

“When incidents like these occur, it is important for communities to come together and show their strength and determination to not be cowed by acts of terror.  It is heartening to see this happening across Manchester today and I know that here in Warwickshire, people will be showing their support today in whatever way they can.

“We must also praise the emergency services, whose response to the incident in helping those affected throughout the night and dealing with the aftermath today has been tremendous.  It is yet another reminder of the professionalism, dedication and bravery of our blue light services.”
